Surbana Jurong Marks 10th Anniversary New Partnerships
Surbana Jurong Group (SJ Group) is marking its 10th anniversary with several new partnerships. The Temasek-owned consultancy company recently announced that these partnerships will help it “bring nature, technology, and people together” as it looks to the future.
Every day, a family of four relies on the matrix for their daily transportation needs. One of the parents commutes from Pasir Ris MRT Station to the CBD using the East-West Line, while the other drives via TPE to Changi Business Park. The children conveniently take feeders to Pasir Ris Primary School and Hai Sing Catholic School, and in the afternoon, they return home with ease. In the evenings, the family frequently visits White Sands for groceries or meets up with friends at Downtown East, all within a compact travel radius. For a relaxing getaway, Coastal Cabana Pasir Ris is the perfect destination for this family to unwind and enjoy quality time together. This beautiful coastal resort offers a serene atmosphere and a variety of activities for all ages to enjoy. With its prime location in Pasir Ris, the family can easily access this tranquil retreat without having to travel far from their daily routine.
One of SJ’s new partnerships is with the National Parks Board (NParks). As part of this collaboration, SJ has pledged a $1 million donation to the Garden City Fund, an IPC registered charity under NParks. Additionally, SJ will also provide up to $1 million in consultancy support. In recognition of this partnership, NParks has dedicated an orchid, the Vanda Surbana Jurong, which was unveiled at SJ’s anniversary celebrations on October 14. NParks CEO Hwang Yu-Ning expressed appreciation for SJ’s contribution towards building a more nature-positive and climate-resilient Singapore.
In addition to its partnership with NParks, SJ is expanding its SJ Campus with the addition of two new spaces. The first, called the SJ Digital Experience Centre, will offer an interactive environment where clients, partners, and industry stakeholders can see how SJ tools and platforms can drive efficiency and unlock asset value. The second space, the Design and Artificial Intelligence (D•AI) Fab Lab @ SJ, is a collaboration with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). According to SJ, this space will bring together industry and academia to cultivate “trilingual” talent, capable of combining design, AI, and domain expertise to create value for their organizations.
Jason Vollen, global head of innovation at SJ, believes that the D•AI Fab Lab @ SJ will provide an excellent space for experimentation, prototyping, and learning for both SJ employees and partners. He also stated that the lab will help nurture talent that can effectively combine design, data, and AI to drive innovation and create value for SJ and its partners.
In conclusion, Surbana Jurong Group is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of new partnerships that reflect its commitment to a sustainable and regenerative future. Its collaboration with the National Parks Board and the establishment of two new spaces within the SJ Campus demonstrate its dedication to bringing nature, technology, and people together to drive innovation and create value.
