Banyan Group Opens Two New Properties China Track Hit 100 Properties Globally

As Banyan Group celebrates its 20th anniversary in China, the hospitality company continues to expand its portfolio of properties in the country. Two new properties, namely Angsana Zhoushan with 222 keys and Homm Wenzhou Nanxijiang with 100 keys, have recently opened in Zhejiang Province, Eastern China.

According to Philip Ding, Banyan Group’s senior vice president for hotel operations and business development in China, the landscapes and cultural heritage of Zhejiang are a perfect match for the spirit of exploration and welcoming comfort that Angsana and Homm represent. “Both properties showcase local traditions, promote ecological harmony, and reflect our commitment to sustainable and design-led hospitality,” Ding adds.

With the addition of these two properties, Banyan Group now has a total of 36 operating hotels in China, which remains its largest market. The group also has plans to open two more hotels, Banyan Tree Zhuhai Phoenix Bay and Dhawa Beihai Weizhou Island, later this year.

This expansion in China is in line with Banyan Group’s global growth strategy. The company is set to reach a significant milestone with the opening of its 100th property, Mandai Rainforest by Banyan Tree, in Singapore this November.
