Elevate Capital Group has recently announced the appointment of Anthony Couse as a partner. He brings over 35 years of experience to the boutique real estate investment and asset management firm, having previously served as the CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL. In his new role, Couse will be working closely with Elevate’s founder and managing partner, Ashish Manchharam, to drive the firm’s growth. This includes expanding investor partnerships, increasing acquisitions, and enhancing asset management strategies.
Manchharam and Couse have a history of working together, and Manchharam has expressed admiration for Couse’s ability to navigate complex markets with clarity and conviction. Both individuals began their careers at JLL, with Manchharam spending over 12 years at the firm and focusing on investment deals and capital markets across Asia. In 2014, Manchharam left JLL to found real estate investment firm 8M Real Estate. He later sold his share in the company to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital in 2023 and founded Elevate in 2024. The company, based in Singapore, specializes in lifestyle-centric real estate investments.
One notable acquisition made by Elevate was the purchase of Stamford Court, a commercial building in the Downtown Core area of Singapore. In partnership with PGIM Real Estate, Elevate acquired the property for $132 million in August 2024. Currently, the development is undergoing repositioning and asset enhancement works and is expected to reopen in the first half of 2026.
