Singapore’s hotel group Worldwide Hotels (WWH) and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts have recently entered into a franchise agreement for a new hotel in the bustling neighborhood of Novena. As part of this agreement, WWH’s 362-unit Value Hotel Thomson, located at 592 Balestier Road, will undergo a transformation and become known as the Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena.

The planned renovations for the hotel are set to begin towards the end of the second quarter in 2026, with an expected opening date of August of the same year. The refurbished property will offer a range of new and improved facilities, including a swimming pool, pool deck, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, and an all-day dining restaurant.

One of the highlights of this new hotel is its convenient location, within walking distance from the Novena MRT Station on the North-South Line. Additionally, it is in close proximity to some of the best medical facilities in the city, such as the Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. CEO and managing director of WWH, Carolyn Choo, is excited about the hotel’s prospects and its ability to cater to medical tourists, as well as leisure and business travelers.

In addition to this new venture, Wyndham already has a significant presence in Singapore with the Wyndham Singapore Hotel, housing 591 rooms, and the Hotel Traveltine Downtown Singapore, which is part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham and offers 300 rooms.
