Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho recently opened its doors in the bustling Sheung Wan District, marking the brand’s first debut in the Asia Pacific (Apac) region. This exciting opening is part of Hilton’s plan to increase its presence in the luxury and lifestyle market in the region. With the recent launch of its first Waldorf Astoria property in Osaka and Curio Collection in China’s Shandong Province, Hilton now boasts over 160 luxury and lifestyle hotels in Apac.

There are even more developments in the pipeline as Hilton sets its sights on further growth. The brand plans to open new Waldorf Astoria properties in Bali and Shanghai, with Bali becoming the brand’s first location in Indonesia in 2027. Other anticipated openings within the next year include NoMad Singapore and Canopy by Hilton Makati in the Philippines in 2026.

Hilton’s plans for expansion don’t stop there, with seven more Waldorf Astoria hotels in the works for Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Sydney, Xi’an, Tokyo, Delhi, and Bali. The group also has plans to introduce Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur, Kuala Lumpur, Nagoya, Bangkok, and China.

Alan Watts, President of Apac for Hilton, believes the appetite for unique and experience-driven stays in Asia Pacific is stronger than ever. He is confident in Hilton’s ability to lead the way in shaping the future of hospitality in this vibrant region.

With its ambitious goals, Hilton expects to exceed 250 luxury and lifestyle hotels in Apac in the coming years, a 50% increase from its current portfolio. This will cement its position as a top player in the luxury and lifestyle market in the region.
